So after disembarking our surprise Disney Cruise (Mel booked it last week), he decided to drive into Orlando to surprise us yet again with a day trip to Blizzard Beach, a Disney water park. As I begged him not to go (school tomorrow/no towels/swim gear packed with all luggage) and as the girls were passed out asleep in the back, AND after circling around Orlando and back out to I 95, he instead decides to head to St. Augustine for an educational opportunity. We found a parking spot in a construction zone, ate lunch, and just as we we got to the Historic District, a massive thunderstorm/tornado warning dropped. We had to slosh back to our car (now parked in mud), soaking wet (in our new ponchos.) We are finally en route to Hartsville, I hope. #lifewithmel #clarkgriswold
