So after learning that you need pay stubs from big name companies in order to rent apartments, I extended my search to Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, etc. I was thinking maybe I could drop out of society and go complete loner.. just making enough to pay rent, food and internet. Since my worth is that of resource availability and provisions, my only option is to ghost, and retreat to a place where I can make enough for my existence with my ukulele. Things would definitely get weird and you would be seeing some very strange videos popping up on my youtube channel as a result of the isolation, but Thunder Bay and Winnipeg are the only places not charging an arm, eye, cock, tooth and a leg for rent. Back in 2004 before the fall of the Great Dildo King, rent was around $650 to $750 for a respectable place that didnt have a rotting fish den in the hallway. These days, $650 will get you a cold tile floored basement in Brampton where the classified ad reads, Basement for rent available to quiet deaf student whose throat is ripped out, doesnt listen to music, and doesnt need a phone. Perhaps I could ghost and get out of interacting with society altogether and just bring my AER amplifier to Joes Cockadillo Diner in Thunderbay, or the Francais De Cafe in Winnipeg in order to practice for tours. I would probably just run and practice guitar every day and get really adept, but then develop my own social code that couldnt interact with society or people. Thats the price you pay though. Ill go be the mountain man to avoid being a drone provider for the system that thinks Im a piece of shit anyway. Ill take up smoking and pizza eating, and just teach guitar.
