So, after over a quarter of a century, the Readers Digest UK association with Swindon is finally at an end with the closing of the Swindon office today. Sad to see the decline of this once great company - screwed over by a succession of management teams too arrogant to listen to customer feedback and see the way the publishing market was going. And dont get me started on the pension trustees! I have worked with some lovely people (and some weird ones) -!and: made friends for life. RD has fed me and paid my bills for 24 years and i will always have a fondness for it . I hope the new owners give it the attention it deserves and rebuild the brand. Farewell and fair well RD. Now, about the leaving do.......
