So,after owning my m135i since march, and putting nearly 2000 miles on the clock I finally found the time to have a Christine show me moment with the wee beastie. ( I know shocking) anyhow I found some lovely two track country roads, with long straights leading to sweeping bends, slotted into sports +, and grabbed the thing by the scruff of its neck......oh my word, this car, that noise, that balance.BMW have indeed shot themselves in the foot.the m4 may be faster, yes, more fun??? Hell no. The 0-60 speed in this thing is great, (Ive owned faster) but its the sheer balance of the steering, the chassis, the grip is tyrannical.even when I was convinced the back end would go, it didnt, and such was the poise of the car it would have been easily brought back in. I have in my house the m3/m4 brochures, for a car double the price, it aint gonna bring double the fun, it not gonna happen.the m4 at the limit will be far far too much for the road, no question, I mean the m135i is,to be honest. Anyway, those brochure will be put in the recycling later, Im in love with the m-lite, and unless bmw give me free petrol for a year (and some cakes) to have an m4, I will be reordering the baby again in 18 months.:)
