So, after yesterdays visit with The Railway Man, we needed something a little lighter, something that would make us laugh..... So we saw The Other Woman, starring Leslie Mann, Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton, and some male actors whose names I cant remember...... Im not sure why Cameron Diaz gets top billing in this movie because Leslie Mann does almost all of the heavy lifting all by herself. Leslie Mann is beautiful, talented, has great comedic timing, and does not look like a catfish, ((though her voice, at least in this movie, would drive you nuts if you had to listen to it for extended periods of time....but nobodys perfect, right?)) Anyway, I think she should have had top billing. Kate Upton is not a gifted actress, but the performances of the other two (actresses) were strong enough that her weakness was not all that distracting. Cameron Diaz is, in my humble opinion, overrated and has been since Theres Something About Mary. Beyond that, I think she looks like a catfish and I am not a big fan, as you may have already guessed. I have never seen Nicki Minaj in a movie before, but I thought she turned in a very good performance. We really enjoyed this film and highly recommend that those of you who enjoy a good laugh should see it..... This movie will translate to DVD just fine, so if you want to save a few $$, put it in your NetFlix queue. We did other stuff today too, such as gardening, a couple of oil changes, and we picked out tile for our family room......in case you thought we never did anything but go to movies!! imdb/title/tt2203939/
