So, all daycare providers in the area... ATTN..I believe someone is attempting to pull a scam and wanted everyone to know. Please repost this to protect yourselves. I was notified email by a family looking for care for their 3 year old boy.. We have been exchanging emails. They even went as far as sending me a pic of the family. They told me they were relocating to the area, and found my name on the Internet. I provided them with some info, hours, rates, how long I have been a provider, etc. received an email last week stating that there was a problem with their flight and they would not be here until the 18th. Anyway, The family stated that a check would be mailed for first and last week of care. Today when I got the mail there was a check there for over 2500.00!!! I emailed the family immediately and told them the check was for way to much money. I just received an email back requesting I deposit the check, and tell him the balance of the overpayment. That his associate mailed me his furniture check instead of payment for child care. This is not normal!!!!
