So an atheist friend of mine posted this wing dinger of an apologetic for why the Bible isnt true yesterday and I finally read the piece today. Wow. If I were to write a piece in response to this epically bad blog post, Id call it Speaking of Errors... Aside from the chronic bad grammar, which always tics me off as an editor/proofreader, the factual errors strewn throughout the piece are so pervasive that it would take a major undertaking for me to do justice to this blogging injustice. I wanted to give this author the benefit of the doubt. After all, Im a rather doubtful Christian, so Im more than willing to read perspectives from the other side so to speak. But please! At least TRY to get some of your history right! Honestly, I could rebuild the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz so many straw-man arguments were used in this silly little piece! To my atheist friends: PLEASE use sources that deal with ACTUAL history and not conspiratorially driven nonsense like this poor fellow. Fundies like this dont help your cause just as much as the fundies on the religious side dont help their side.
