So, another lil boy pushed Kota off the slide earlier today on the playground at his school... Kota told me he fell on his face and hurt his arm.. (Theres no serious injuries or cuts ect thank god) Kota did admit to me that he shoved the kid back for pushing him.. Im proud of Kota for standing up for himself at such a young age... but what really bothers me is the fact that the teachers did NOTHING... He told me he went to a teacher and told the teacher what happened and that she told him to just stay away from the other lil boy... The other boy didnt get in trouble or get a warning or anything.. Am I wrong to be upset about this?? Dont get me wrong.. I know boys will be boys.. But isnt Kindergarten the best place to start teaching kids about bullying and how wrong it is? What if that other lil boy has it in his head now that since he didnt get into any type of trouble, what he did was ok? What if later on he shoves another lil boy off the slide or lil girl even, and said child get a broken bone or worse? Am I over thinking this? Its no secret that I was bullied pretty bad back then.. and through most of my school years.. maybe Im just scared of Kota going through what I did..Or maybe I have a right to be upset.. I dont know.. :/
