So another weird Ken Ballenger story.... Way back a few years, he had just left for afternoon shift at Dresden in the green truck, which was 2 weeks old. Came back a few minutes later with some old guy in the truck, who dropped Kenny off and left in the truck. Kenny ran in to get the keys to the old truck.. Our conversation: Me: whos in the truck with you?. Ken: Not sure who he is but Im letting him borrow the truck. Me: to go where? Ken: Im not sure. Me: for how long? Ken: Im not sure. Me: who is he?! Ken: A guy I met at the Marathon.... and he left for work. The story..... he stopped at Marathon on the way to work. This old guy, his wife, and two other old womens car had broken down and they were on their way to Chicago for some church thing. So Kenny heard him telling his story in the gas station, felt sorry for him, and let him drive off in our brand new truck. They came back late the next afternoon, gave us Red Lobster gift certificates, sent us a Christmas card every year, and the old man even stopped by here a few years ago. And thats that story.
