So apparently, Dingdong and Marian got married. I cant blame them for wanting to do something special. Who doesnt want the wedding of their dreams? Cant blame the media either, fans, reporters, even observers would tune in on a celebration of this magnitude so covering this is like printing money. If we stop celebrating our moments at the time of crises, then we wont celebrate anything at all. Then Seniang happened. People died, lost their homes, got stranded in some godforsaken areas. Just another Tuesday in our beautiful country. Seeing now the newsthreads of these two events side by side, I cant help but hate on the celebration of opulence at a time of grief. #whyShouldTheyBeHappy Shifting news from Dongyan to Seniang is like another joke bestowed upon humanity. In a society where two people can have giant cakes and expensive clothes and more gifts to last an ordinary family a lifetime, its obscene to let other people suffer and die. Now that the wedding is over, perhaps the new Mr. and Mrs. Dantes would share some of their spotlight and blessings on the victims. Then their wedding would truly be #blessed. :) I dont know if any of this makes sense, but there it is. Happy new year, everyone.
