So apparently Fat cant make you fat! according to this nutritionist: christinecronau/studies/ Whats worse is someone I know who is now an avid follower of this movement has stated, and I quote: Actually, saturated fat has been found to be the least likely to be stored as fat. In fact, its been said its almost impossible. And I think Im a pretty good example of this, for the last 8 weeks Ive eaten no less then 2,500 calories a day and 80% of my calories come from saturated fats. Ive lost 7kg in 8 weeks. And I have met people who lost a lot more then that in the same time. Also carbs, even healthy whole grains are broken down into glucose and cause spikes in insulin levels. If someone was to follow a high carb diet or moderate carb diet, then their insulin levels would spoke constantly eventually leading to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Grains have been proven to also irritate and inflame our guts and arteries. Over time if this keeps happening, our artery walls become more and more inflamed (cholesterol actually tries to heal all this damage). This inflammation and irritation is what ends up causing heart disease. Ever wonder why people told to follow a low fat diet with grains to try and lower cholesterol just get sicker? and, Ive seen nothing but benefits come from my change of diet, whereas I used to be drowsy, cranky, have headaches and be depressed all the time with a huge number of digestive issues going on when eating healthy grains and actually yes, they have been proven to cause inflammation of our insides. Pretty sure there are a lot of flawes in this argument.
