So apparently it isnt too cool to post a cryptic status update and not clue people in within a reasonable amount of time. Guess I can share - well, I went ahead and gave myself a birthday present this morning. Its something Ive been wanting to do for a long time, but, Ive never been in a position to do anything about it. Ive always said if I was going to do this, I was only going to do it if everything was right. And right now, everything seems right. Just so everyone knows, Ive given this a lot of thought, I understand all the trappings, the issues that can arise... everything. With all of that said, I picked up my first brood (future mamadog) this morning. :) Ever since I got involved with greyhounds Ive wanted to have racers of my own and on my terms. Well, nows the time for me to give it a go. Whats interesting is that this girl is the daughter of a boy I used to help care for when I was here last - so, thats a plus - sentimentally anyway. Big step for me - but, one Im excited to take. Id like to thank Dennis for letting me she was available, and a special thanks to Steve who worked with me to help make this happen. I sure hope I do you guys proud by her.
