So arriving in the mail today, was my shiny, new, CD of Kerry Livgrens Seeds of Change, which, without me knowing, has been re-mastered. I already own the LP (gathering dust in the basement). I dont mind albums being re-mastered, when its for the better; but, the only song I bought it for was Mask of the Great Deceiver, which is totally different. The original vinyl version, contained layers of keyboards throughout the song. I loved THAT version. Now, its synthesized brass! (yes, I know its still considered keyboards). Its 21st century brass voices, versus good, old, analog synth. I digress. The one song I didnt even know (which is pretty much the rest of the songs), featured Steve Walsh on vocals. Its a great song called How Can You Live, which Ill try to find on You-Tube (dont hold your breath). For those of you who may own both; which album version do YOU like?
