So as I was signing off tonight and counting my blessings, I thought to myself, I have come so far from just starting out 8 years ago..... I just want to say to all you budding carvers out there.... Dont give up. If you love carving, if you love the rush of the 2 stroke and get a natural high from what you do, dont give in. My first bear 8 years ago was hideous but I practiced and practiced and now I think Im fairly decent. Decent enough to be booked out till April. Thats not bad for a part time carver. I work a full time job 4 days a week that allows me to carve 3 days. My full time job pays for my benefits, health insurance, disability (god help I chop something off carving, lol) I know for a fact that I will be carving full time within a year. Ive got a large customer base, Ive built my facebook business page and now every job I get is a referral. I have 3 Ice carving jobs lined up so far for the winter season. If you love what you do, just do it..... carving is not a job to me its a lifestyle, I love it and always will. If you dont love it, dont do it. And with that I will post the most inspirational video I have ever watched. Pay attention Rusty, watch this video over and over
