So as a citizen of smith county I have a concern.....last night I was coming home from work and as I got close to the house there was a beat up dodge truck in the road with junk in the back..as I approached they sped off so you know me we was in hot pursuit....so I followed the truck for about three miles till they got out of my house range and I got home and I called the sheriffs office... I asked did they have anyone on patrol..... Reply they all go home after two oclock.....accept on the weekend......this has me concerned if I have a problem that I need a quick response to there Is not anyone available 24 hours a day.....we as citizen of smith county deserve around the clock patrols in all beats.....and I think I am going to talk to the sheriff about that...dont you think our tax dollars need to be used wisely.....but I will be pistol shopping this weekend cause I will not be a victim late at night......
