So as the USA commences bombing ISIS positions in Iraq, the voices that were screaming in opposition —even some of you, my friends on Facebook— are completely silent. So you didnt want Obama to send bombers to stop Assad who has killed nearly a quarter of a million people but youre okay with, and have nothing to say about, this? I want ISIS defeated but this bombing will NOT do the job without a ground commitment whereas an aerial bombing campaign in Syria WOULD have slowed Assad from killing his own people significantly. This campaign will waste our money and unnecessarily pulls us back into a region we should have pulled out of long ago. When ISIS survives it —and they will— we will have, yet again, made our enemy look impervious to our military might.
