So basically I plan in the future, once I finish university, to study and research consciousness. Because lets face it, consciousness is one of the biggest mysteries in science. This quote is something I wish to hopefully find out. I mean, I can see both sides of the whole consciousness debate being, or having, some truth to it. If consciousness is generated by the brain, then once we die thats it. I am fine with that and would probably prefer that; but if consciousness is outside of the brain and the brain is a reciever of consciousness, then that means we could possibly live on after our physical deaths. It would put a massive spin on what we think we currently know about ourselves and possibly the universe. The question of how is consciousness generated is probably one of my favourite to ponder. Id like to get your perspective on the matter. Id prefer opinions from both sides of the topic. So, I ask you, is consciousness generated inside the brain or outside? Is the brain a reciever of consciousness?
