So because human beings are finite...they are brought into existence by already existing forces. These would be parents. But since humans have all have a beginning and an end, this trend is repeated until the origin of human life, the earth, space, etc. Therefore something which is infinite, which has no beginning and end is necessary for the creation of all and everything which does have a beginning and an end. The idea of a higher being at the most fundamental level can arguably be applied to our reality. Descartes is a boss...if I interpreted his writing correctly lol.
