So...before I go out to destroy some brain cells, I thought Id leave a quick brain dump here for the group. Its about 7 months now, since GW took their ball home (Closed the original Eavy Metal Facebook group), and I started this replacement. The group grew massively in the first month, with members of the closed group quickly finding their way here (Some are still finding their way to us, as recently as this week). And weve attracted a lot of new members. Ive recently(ish) taken on two admin members, Dave Taylor and Matthew Pearce, who have lightened my load considerably (Which couldnt have happened at a better time!), and I am extremely grateful for their help running this group. It sees a lot of activity, 24/7. It was getting hard to stay on top of. You guys rock, cheers! In the past 7 months I have seen some insanely talented painters among you, and also some really promising new painters, but more than anything I love how the feel of this group has grown. The level of encouragement, advice and assistance in the group is fantastic, its great to be a part of such a creative community. Give yourselves a pat on the back! Every day I sit and trawl through posts in this group, and every day I am impressed by the level of talent on display. This group never gets boring. Dave, Matthew and I (Mainly Dave, to be fair) have some plans for next year to make this group even more awesome, so keep watching this space! Happy holidays/Yule/Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza whatever, to you and yours. Im gonna shut up and go get rat arsed. Oi oi!
