So, before we get too far into this next game. Im gonna put my final thoughts about FSU. Like it or not they did deserve to be in the playoff (based on body of work). They werent as good as their rank but also not as bad as Oregon made them look. FSU was good at going in to Crisis mode when they were down and letting their emotion fuel them. Some people see it as getting lucky but, in a lot of ways, is a skill or ability that was a big part of their team. The problem is Oregon, maybe more than any other team, is the worst to do that against. FSU got away with it during the season because every conventional team went into dont lose mode when they got up on FSU. Oregon doesnt do that...ever, and thats the problem with Crisis mode. If you stay in it long enough, you start to fall apart because youre playing over your head and with a lot of emotion. Thats exactly what happened. FSU went into that Crisis mode in the 2nd quarter. By the midpoint of the 3rd quarter that juice had run out and what was left was an emotion fueled team who had no emotion left and an Oregon team that was still running at full speed. Sometimes it just takes the right matchup to expose a teams weakness (even if it is really obvious). So, while its still somewhat gratifying to see a team lose that seemed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat every week, Im not gonna pile on them too much for losing to a team as good as Oregon.
