So, can we have a practical discussion on what Communism might look like? Im kind of finding that thus far while Communist theory is excellent at building criticisms of Capitalism and advocating for revolution, it seems consistently unable to provide a sort of digestible vision of what the society we want to bring together might look like and how it might operate. I understand that in a sense its largely wild speculation. But I find that IMO one of the biggest weaknesses with regards to talking to people about Communism is that theyre unable to engage with it on practical terms that they can measure against their own lives. Reactionary ideologies are obviously very effective at this since they can pretty much subsume anything into their logic (since our society is already formed under their relations). So, for instance; will we be able to own pets under full Communism? How will housing be run -- what if someone in my apartment co-op doesnt want dogs around? Whos going to trim hedges and polish elevators, and why would they do this?
