So considering how the day has gone, I choose to share some brighter news with yall. A few months ago, I made the decision that I had about run my limit at my current job. A place that gave me a start and I worked my butt off to show my gratitude too and I must also say that I am grateful for. However, my experience has been that things have changed over the past 9 months, mainly income and the ability to achieve or not achieve the previous years incomes and while I still love what I do and am passionate about every aspect of it, the place Im doing it may not be a good fit for me any longer. A few months back, I began checking into a new situation with another very talented driver friend of mine, Mike at BadBear Trucking. In a few weeks I will begin my new life away from the big boys trucking companies, with a small group of very talented brilliant people that I already feel as part of their family and Ive not even begun to work with yet. So late last night I was on the phone with one of the owners and accepted their offer to come into the fold. Ive recently made a purchase of an older model truck that while it is not PorkChops Cadillac starry eyed movie star appearance, it certainly doesnt come with the $3,000 a month in payments either. It will be a fine truck to get rolling and discover what the non electronic old fashion side of trucking is like. Oh yes and I also almost forgot, weekends home up on Twin Valley Ranch or I can stay out on the road if I like, but theyd really prefer that I take them off. Shucks! A life ??? I really get a LIFE????
