Statements like: babies are carried and laid on their backs or placed in swings so they do not need to consume as many calories as when they were active are terrifying. Why would we want babies (with growing brains) to limit calories. Fortunately, Breastfed infants are inherently protected from excessively overfeeding in their early days, because a mothers milk comes in gradually. Lets get the right message out there! Babies DO NOT need to diet.
