So doing my daily Mountain Bike sprint at hillside dams, I came racing round the corner near the private camp site at the top dam and just in time managed to bunny hop over a very large Mozambique Spitting Cobra (Naja mossambica). I skidded to a halt, jumped off my bike to attend to my dogs that were about 20m behind me. Luckily my dogs have been snake proofed so when they cam round the corner and encountered the cobra standing almost the same height as them they backed up on my command and waited for me to carefully move the snake off the path and into the bush. The poor guy was quite cold so wasnt very feisty. He slowly went on his way and we on ours. It was probably the most impressive wil specimen of a Mozie I have ever seen. Anyway happy that it ended well for all of us.
