So end of the week and although I’m current for a couple days on all my BOMs, I realized when I downloaded the appliques and instructions for A-Z last month, that appliques were included in October’s instructions for the November right and left side borders, which will be available for download tomorrow. Figured I might as well draw them all out and match up the fabrics and cut them out so they’ll be ready when I work on it again. So spent the morning with Puppy Porter and cut out shapes. About every 90 minutes she’d get up from a nap and come tell me it was time, so out we’d go to play in the backyard, as the rain fell and we both slopped around in the wet gravel, bark, and mud. I’m still wearing most of it from dirty little puppy paws. Anyway, got all the cut-outs finished and they’re in baggies waiting till I work on the borders again. Used a lot of my quilty time today mentally contemplating all the things I need to line up to work on and finish in the very near future…like that Baby Quilt. I think I made up my mind for real, so I will start gathering fabrics next week. Then I had to start thinking about SSSWing (Santa’s Secret Sewing Workshop) which is creeping up—or as my dear daughter-in-law (soon to be a mother) has mentioned: sounds like your “Nazi Youth Organization…” For those of you who haven’t visited Quilted Whimsy prior to Christmas—I force handmade Christmas stocking gifts each year on my sons and daughter-in-laws; and each year it’s a challenge to come up with something different. So today I started the process and I am leaning towards a couple ideas, which I’ll need to nail down soon. So all in all it was a productive day. Wooohooo, Portland Trailblazers tonight…hope they can continue the win streak. And since it’s my favorite national holiday: Happy Halloween to all of you!!!
