So everyone has seen the video of the woman walking ALL around New York, getting constantly street harassed, etc etc... Many of my facebook friends even posting it... and thats awesome... Well, THIS VIDEO takes a look at it from a different perspective, It was equally interesting because I had noted to a few of my friends that the vast majority of the catcalling seemed to be from Homeless people/peddlers, etc... And some of the harassment such as Good morning, beautiful. Was completely taken out of context. Tonight alone, through the course of work Ive been called Hun, Dear, Babe, Bro, Dude-is-Smaht, This-Ahsome-guy(Got love New England Car Salesmen.) Sweetie, and Handsome. None of those I considered harassment. The problem with a good viral marketing campaign is NOT that it makes people think, that part is awesome... Its that it turns people who are ignorant, or to stupid or lazy to do a bit of fact checking, or are otherwise unable to form opinions for themselves... essentially into Sheeple.
