So far, Ive got a ballpark style idea of how Id like the 40k campaign to go, but obviously quite a bit of it depends on the scale of interest (and none at all means I dont even bother!). Over all the main idea is fun and movie style games, stuff youd never see happen at a competitive event. Campaign basic outline: 1: The campaign will have a map of the Peccator System for players to capture and relinquish territory upon. 2: The campaign will have two Main Teams. 3: Each team will have a Captain to act as Warmaster for their Team. 4: The campaign may have free agents not on either team. 5: Each Campaign phase will have one or more Special Event games for 2 or more players. 6: Games will not always be balanced or competitive, following the narrative in place for the game above all else. 7: Players will each have a named character model with special rules. Players characters may die or be otherwise written out of the story during the campaign. 8: NPC models may make appearances in Special Games for both teams. 9: Each team will have their own objectives, some secret and some public. There will also be secret decisions before certain games which will affect games and other aspects of the campaign. 10: Mini-games may be used for deciding certain aspects of missions to come, and bonus points for teams for other activities like winning speed painting competitions at the special event days etc. 11: There will be some incentives to buy models to use in the campaign, as despite the campaign being free to enter, the shop still needs to be supported in some manner. Were looking at giving a discount for HQ models bought to be used as players named characters in the campaign, possibly with a small bonus for characters in-game which are bought this way. 12: New boards and scenery pieces will be present to represent certain areas on the map or certain strategic objectives. The idea is fun with a bit of friendly team rivalry and skullduggery in the games and some hobby related aspects with possible discounts and rewards for players who support the shop in doing so
