So far the Royal Commission has held more than 50 private sessions in Sydney and Brisbane. This week the commissioners started in Adelaide. Perth will be next, then Melbourne towards the end of August. The first of the public hearings will be in September. Public hearings will involve appearances by representatives of churches, charities and States. There will be lawyers and full cross examinations. Some matters will be referred to police and there will be increased media reporting. The Commission is focusing on reaching victims who have not yet been engaged; late night radio listeners, remote indigenous communities and Twitter followers. The Commission is looking to hire a full time social media specialist to leave no stone unturned.
