So folks, a quick guide to my name. I use Ed Garcia Conde professionally which is in the Puerto Rican and Spanish style. My last name is legally GARCIA not Conde. Conde is my mothers maiden name and in Spanish culture, it is mandatory to utilize first your fathers surname and then your mothers surname. Why do I do it? I do it because I think its a wonderful thing to be able to carry on both of your surnames honoring both mother and father. Ive been doing this for well over a decade and am glad to see more and more people doing so nowadays. If ya wanna call me by my last name, the proper way would be Garcia or Garcia Conde but not just Conde ;)
