So for the first time since 2006 I have had a couple of fantastic weeks back as #MinisterofFun thanks to all the nice comments when I have met people around during TT Week! Thanks to all volunteers,marshals, yes I did my bit practice Week at Ballaugh!,medics,grandstand and paddock teams,control tower and start line officials,time keepers,travelling marshals,course cars,fire service, Milky and his team, technical officials,the TT Motorsports team in particular Trevor,Sophie and Paul, the Departments of Infrastructure,Health and Home Affairs.... And so many more people who all play a part.... In particular mention must go to Gary Thompson a fantastic Clerk of the Course who has to make many difficult decisions but insists he makes the time to communicate with the Marshals.... To Manx Radio ...once again in your 50th Year ..great coverage.... And North One ...what images! Seen in well over 50 Countries! As a patron of the TT Marshals and Friends of the TT Riders association I am very grateful to everyone! Then the riders... New names emerge,established riders rewrite the record books at the Road Race Capital of the World! A fortnight, sometimes a roller coaster of emotions... Time moves on but we will never forget.. The motorcycle community is a very caring one. The event is going from strength to strength.. The visitor numbers are up on last year... Financial and other sponsors are coming on board... The International flavour is growing year on year... The depth of field makes for exciting,close racing! The entertainment all over our Island was a blast! This is without doubt the greatest Road Race Event in the World....thank you for sharing it with us! Safe journey home...we look forward to welcoming you to the Festival of Motorcycling including the Classic TT, Manx Grand Prix,2 Day Trials and Jurby festival in August... In a World full of sameness we offer much more than just the norm .... Long may it last with your support xx
