So for the rest of this month I will be posting some of our adoptable dogs who have been with us for a while. Please share them far and wide to help them get adopted. Without further ado.... OUR AWESOME ADOPTABLE: Shadow is a sweet yet timid chi-weenie with gorgeous markings, between 3-4 years old, around 9lbs. He came to us skinny and scared of his own shadow but with a little time and patience, he is coming out of his shell quite nicely, just recently learning how to play with toys and loves tug of war, chasing balls, stuffed animals, and burrowing under blankets. He gets along great with other dogs his size (prefers the female dogs), confident cats and children as long as they are gentle. He still is carrying a little bit of fear of some men but seems to warm up to them after a day or two. A home with not a lot of foot traffic and visiting friends/family would be best since he gets nervous and barks around new people. Shadow will do great in a home with other dogs his size or by himself, but due to his history, he does not like being alone for too long. He is amazing on leash, always a foot a way from you, although oncoming vehicles and pedestrians make him nervous and he will slow way down and move away from them if he can. A small, playful, female dog his size would be a perfect companion for Shadow. Please consider giving Shadow his forever home. He is a charming young man with a lot of love to give.
