So for you gamers out there or people who just like hearing me talk about games, Id like to talk about this game thats been out for a few years but I just played it the other day and it blew my mind. Im really into the Elder Scrolls series, so I decided to buy Morrowind and Oblivion since Ive played them before but I didnt have them on my Steam account, and while I was searching for games I came across FTL-Faster Than Light, and it seriously got me hooked instantly. I have gotten nowhere near the end of the game and still I feel like its worth talking about, so let me set it up for you. Youre a captain of a small starship, and you are to get from one side of the universe to another to aid the Federation in their war against the Rebels, and while I have no idea where it goes after that, the gameplay is absolutely stellar. Your job is to hop between planets using your faster than light drive and defend yourself against enemies, aid civilians or do whatever needs done where you wind up, its all new every time you play which makes the game so much more intense as a strategy game. You have a small crew and you are to assign them to stations for repair or other use, and you are to make it to the other side of the universe. Crew members die. Often. Either that or Im really stupid because even the easiest setting was fairly difficult for me, which is what really makes this game fun because not only is it different every time but you also have to use proper judgment. You can upgrade your ship and hire new crew members, and so much more that Ive not even touched in the game.
