So get this, Inara goes into her job today to tell them that she found something to better herself with and to imrpove our quality of living (putting in ehr 2 weeks notice)...they were rude and childish! Told her that shes abandoning them, that she doesnt respect them, they are short staffed and shes hurting them etc...the only difference between her and a manager is NOTHING! Literally, a couple that are managers for this small business makes the SAME as she does and have to live off of food stamps! They werent taking taxes out of her pay, making us pay every year, and not fixing it. She makes $7.75/hr plus 2% commission...THATS IT! The only person that makes ANY money is the owner (who is a multi millionaire). There is aboslutely NO reaosn to stay as there is no advancement potential! Its absolutely rediculous how they are treating her, even going as far as telling her that this isnt you talking that shes being manipulated. By who, me!? Because shes getting a better job!? They even tried to tell her she wouldnt make any money as a groomer! Yeah? Well, at PetSmart, with over $150 in benefits and taxes taken out, she brought home between $350-$460 A WEEK! If this store took out taxes, shed be bringing home about $280-300 a week, oh, and thats without benefits! Since she is on my benefits (cheaper since I work FOR a hospital system), she will only need taxes taken out. So if shes making between $380-$460 with benefits removed and taxes withdrawn, add that $150 from benefits back into her check. Yeah, not making anything, right? LOL! Shed be making between (on slow weeks) $12-$20+ an hour! Thats not inlcuding holiday bonuses or holiday premium commission! If you know Condom Sense where she worked, on Preston Road and Lloyd Circle, please be aware that this is how they treat their employees. They started out as wonderful people, but are choosing to end this on a sour note. The guy who owns it is crooked and is believed to be not paying out proper taxes. If he lays verbal abuse/a hand on Inara, not only will she leave, but my mother (former Cistera Netwroks consultant and CPA) will have the IRS investigate his business for withheld taxes, and deffinately check his practices and all accounts. Inara is an amazing associate, and I can see why loosing her is a bummer. But she deserves so much better, and I wont tolerate such childish antics from a business owner who cant even higher people that wont steal from the store! It isnt her fault they are short staffed due to ill new employee evaluations or bad business practice. And I would appreciate it if you all helped by showing your support for her here and letting her know she is doing whats right for herself and her well being. She loves grooming and is completely torn by how her supposed work family is now calling her a traitor.
