So.... getting to a stage in life when I might ... to some, looking at some of my more risque posts ... start to be considered a Dirty Old Man, ha. Nope. Truth is, I am a hopeless romantic... been that way at least since Kindergarten, and expect to always be that way. And it has not been exactly a great thing to be in this world., caused me grief more than once... but whatever. I yam what I yam. Some things, the fundamental essence of your soul, never change. Read a definition online of a hopeless romantic that I pretty much like and agree with. This is it: A hopeless romantic is one who looks for the a singular person on this world that makes their world come together. They are indeed looking for the man or woman of their dreams. As a result, they prefer not to live in reality. The hopeless romantic knows the reality of love is that reality has no business being in love. This is why they will often perform grandiose gestures that may be seen as unsettling or borderline crazy to non-romantics. But to the fellow few romantics, these same gestures will be adored as beautifully and obscenely quixotic. And such is the hope of the hopeless romantic- to not only find the one who loves receiving such love, but loves giving such love. It may come to nothing. In fact, it usually does. No matter. Still more fun than arguing politics (which I do a lot less than I used to do) Aint gonna outgrow it. It is me. And as difficult as it is, Late in the game now ... but the game goes on. Even in its tragic beauty! So ... think what you will. Frankly, my dear ... I dont give a damn. Seriously. ;)
