So glad Ive learned my options. Sub doc says his SOP is 39 weeks + diabetes = automatic induction regardless of how baby is doing. My doc at least allows us to monitor size and make decisions based on some real info not just auto pilot procedures. Well, Ive also voiced my preferences throughout so that mightve helped. Throughout this pregnancy Ive been exposed to 4 different OBs with 4 different medical approaches and attitude. So much grey area. Bottom line for current and future pregos-- be an informed consumer so you can be empowered to decide or at least discuss whats best for you rather than having someone decide for you. Ok getting off soap box now.
