So glad to see this group and be a new member......I was raised in Arlington from 1956 (Dr. Rape) delivered me and saw me for all shots and illnesses, till we moved in 1971. Lived on Reever Street, Susan Drive and then Cloverdale. 360 was then called Watson Road. My dad worked for LTV all those years and when they moved his Division to Salt Lake City, my parents moved to Moody, Texas where my mom was from, my dad from Pendleton, Texas. So many childhood memories from there. Favorite Drug Store was Skillerns (Soda Fountain)......loved to shop at Treasure City......attended Aldersgate Methodist Church, went to Roark Elementary and Ferguson Junior High. My mother bowled in a league at Great Southwest Bowling Alley (by Six Flags).....I remember getting to go into a kids play area while she bowled! Remember going to Six Flags the first year it opened and it costs my dad $2.00 per person. There were only 2 High Schools back then, Sam Houston and Arlington High. Randol Mill Park was the coolest back then and I remember going to see my dad play softball. We would grocery shop at Buddys on Abrams. I think it became a Gipsons at some point. I remember when they put in the Tara Super-fly Apple Slide at Park Row and New York I think in that shopping center. It was huge! A definite Icky Twerp and Romper Room fan! lol Just a few memories........
