So glad we stuck out the rain and got the race in last Sunday so we could make Dannys last wish come true, to see one more race at Unity Raceway and be with family and friends. The Burgess family lost Danny this morning but not before he was able to see his nephew Jeff capture the checkers for the 50 lap Late Model special. It was an honor for me to meet Danny and shake his hand Sunday and fulfill his wish before he left us. He had a great time watching the Wicked Goods and the Classic NASCARS as well, racing from an era that has much been forgotten, but not to Danny. The crowd and car counts were nothing spectacular due to the weather, but if it was only him and his family in the crowd watching, it all wouldve been worth it to put on this last show for him. -Nick
