So good. Love is an action - its putting another first - even when youre hurt, even when its hard. Its sad that so many speak of their love for a person but their actions are far from that. We need to learn to identify those that are really loving us and those that arent and set the appropriate boundaries. We are instructed to guard and protect our hearts. Thats biblical. Its okay to set healthy boundaries as to how you are treated, and this ESPECIALLY applies to parents. What your children see you allow as far as how you are treated, no matter what you tell them, THAT is what you are showing them is acceptable, and that could very well be what they come to find acceptable in their own lives one day. So important.
