So, good news and not so good news. The good news is Ella felt better after her nap and had less pain and vomiting. She had so much fun in the playroom. JJ, her favorite child life specialist, was no match for her at Cootie. Ella also had a few sips of Breeze (a meal replacement drink) mixed with Sprite. She also had one and a half popsicles! The not so good news is that her temp was 100.9 tonight. The night doctor gave her another dose of Cefepime and another antibiotic called Flagyl. She has never had the Flagyl before, so I am keeping an eye on her. Ellas HGB is also only at 7.2. You can see how pale her little hand is compared to mine. I will not be surprised if she needs a transfusion tomorrow. Lord, I ask you to bring healing to Ella. Please take away any virus, bacteria, fungus or whatever is causing Ellas fever. Lord, please heal the mucositis and thrush. Lord, please stop the bleeding, so Ella doesnt throw up any more blood. Lord, please keep her strong until you bring healing. In Jesus name. Amen.
