So happy about both of these amazing horses finding their forever homes today! Two of my very favorite horses ending up with two homes that seem to be custom built specifically for them. I have sold a lot of horses in my life, and there is just something about finding the perfect match that makes everything else so worth it. As we have helped people sell their horses, the number one thing that I tell them is that if it is not the PERFECT match for both horse and owner, I wont sell them to those people. If the current owner does not understand that, then we wont sell their horse for them. We are blessed with honest, straight-forward owners who will stop me as I describe a horse and say, oh no... hes not like that at all, or well, you should probably try to do this on him because he used to not like it... and we can sell the horse not just the way we have found them in a couple weeks, months... but with a rich background of honest info behind them. :) For EACH and every horse, there is a perfect owner out there looking for them... some just take a little longer than others; but in the end, when you see the connections made like these two, you know its all worth it. We arent dealers, we dont have a horse for a week and then turn around and sell it. We know, or get to know the owners of the horses we help them sell, and then we take everything they say about their horse, and test them out completely to make sure our feeling on the horses are the same way, to get to know the horses on a personal level. lol, maybe not the quick turn around way to do it, but we believe in each of the horses we sell, and we will do our best for the horses to make sure they never have to keep drifting home to home. Today just makes me remember once again, why I love my job, my barn, and each and every one who wanders into our barn family and somehow end up just being another part of us. ;) Kinda like my real family.
