So hard to believe that its been 29 years ago to the day that we lost our parents in a car accident on the Ohio Turnpike. The weather was very gloomy that day---much like todays weather. I can virtually remember everything about that day in my mind...from being informed by my nursing instructor (never had me before this clinical day), speaking with my minister and my sister on the phone, packing my suitcase to come home, seeing my high school dorm students staring at me in disbelief (as they had no idea what to say), the look on my good friends, Mike & Yvonne Martins faces as they tried to speak words of comfort, and the long ride home with my good friend Beverly Cox from Virginia. Not a day goes by without me thinking about my parents and how much I appreciate their devotion to family and our Lord and Savior. They truly lead by example. So many things have occurred in our family that I so much wish they could have been a part. Love and miss you Mom and Dad!
