So have you ever almost had a fight @ church? Well, I was late walking into church. This guy parked his SUV and was already in church. One issue was his dog was tied to the rear bumper of his SUV. The SUV was partially parked on the grass and in the shade. MOREOVER, there was NO water left out for the dog and it is a warm day. I went into church and without making a big to-do. Immediately, I brought out a plastic bowl of water for the dog. The dog wagged her tail excitedly and drank about half of the bowl. I dont think the owner (many of you seem to know him and I have pics of the vehicle and dog tied to the SUV) was abusing his dog. However, it was just thoughtless. The guy has invested a LOT in his SUV. I truly believe the man loves his dog, but he should show the dog the same care. Later I was leaving and he was at his vehicle and I felt the need to genuinely calmly speak to him about what I had seen. I just suggested to him later that the dog deserves better and that he should consider keeping/purchasing a bowl in the SUV. Then he can provide/buy water as needed. As I was leaving. agreeing to disagree, the guy pulls to the exit of the parking lot and blocks me from leaving. He started raising his voice and cussing (something I am not above myself) but I truly remained calm and composed. The guy told me his dog had food and water and hour ago and should be good for 8 hours. He then told me to mind my own business. Well buddy, THAT is my business. If I ever see a woman, child, elderly person or an animal being mistreated, I will step in EVERY time.
