So, having one of those Uber-Geek moments.. {*lol* Call it a Geek test. Doesnt count if you have to Google} DC has been having a lot of trouble fronting a decent comic based movie. Heres a thought.... Here is a character with an actual honest to Gods story. It has multiple themes and plot lines. It is sweeping and grandiose...And It is compact, and tight. It is well written. It is grounded in a nostalgic era and place, then progresses across time and the world. It has pathos, it has angst, it has examination of the human condition. And it has the abuse of power and wealth, and schadenfreude. It has ALL of the things that most of the DC characters {save perhaps Batman if we can get away from the stumping caricature that he has become on film.}, JUST DONT HAVE. . . . Or am I the only one that remembers Paul Kirk????
