So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. John 13:4-5 Wonderful character displayed by Jesus Christ, HE washed the feet of His disciples. Being the very God, creator of the whole universe, humbled Himself and washed his disciples feet. Philippians 2 wonderfully says like this, 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! How many of us shows the character of Jesus Christ? How many of us has this humility and meekness of Jesus Christ?
