So heartbroken and in tears....I have been talking to my friend whose son has the same diagnosis as Nick did. We spent countless days together In the hospital whether inpatient or in clinic. We have cried so much together and Prayed. I have written about them before but its been a while since I posted. Thats not to say that they have been well. At Nicks last appointment I had to prepare myself to go see him and her because his health had declined. Hector finished his treatment shortly before Nick, he is a teenager and the night of his end of treatment scans in February they found out he had cancer again and it had spread in many areas. I will never forget that phone call when his mom called me and we cried for hours together on the phone. He then started quickly on treatment again both chemo and radiation as well as had surgeries to remove what they could. Since I last saw them last month he remains in the hospital and is slowly slipping away. She has been watching her son with much pain going from being able to walk and talk to no eating, not being able to walk then not being able to use his arms to barely any movement or talking. We were supposed to be okay after all of the 18 month struggle that we endured seeing our boys in pain and fighting to survive. Now she has been told that he is near his end and that she needs to prepare. How do you prepare???? He is her baby and she is struggling sitting by his side still holding on to Hope and Faith!! I ask that you please pray for Hector who was once OK and In high school with friends to loosing this nasty battle and for his amazing Mom, Rosie. :(
