So here I am after work today, flipping through Lous Entertainment Weekly magazine and its article defining the must-see movies of the summer.... And I screamed out loud when I saw this. When The Game Stands Tall, starring James Caviezel, Michael Chiklis and Laura Dern is out on August 22. Im as proud today reading the article as I was when I attended Carondelet High School and went to nearly every De La Salle High School-Concord, CA football game that I could in my four years there. As a friend of mine, Shane Stokes, wrote today, being a Spartan isnt about winning or stepping on the opponent. It is about learning to become a better human being through challenges, responsibility and perseverance. I will definitely be attending this film, even in South Dakota. I wonder if I still have a DLS Spartan T-shirt that I could wear? Go Spartans!
