So here I am doing some analysis on a one week program I lead in Jakarta this year and stumbled on this comment... Lisa, I dont have a word for you - simply you are a superstar. Not only giving us insight but the way you teach me also inspires me to communicate well, and represent myself better. I feel very blessed that in my line of work I have the opportunity to receive feedback in writing. I can start to see the impact I may be having. And then there are opportunities that arise from other participants comments... On the practical relevance, it would be excellent if the coach have a deep understanding of the local culture. Both of these comments are nice to have but I am missing the piece that says exactly what I did to inspire someone and exactly at what point in the program did I miss or mess up culturally? Im really intrigued! So much so that my current research is targeting the following question... Does the teaching of western leadership theory delivered by western facilitators enable or frustrate actionable learning in Indonesian organizations?
