So here I am, sharing something from Fox News (admittedly via Huffington Post). I dont actually want to talk about Ebola in the US. I do really think we need to be talking about Ebola in West Africa, specifically Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia. Where there is an Ebola epidemic which began in March. Again, March. By June it was clear that the countries did not have the necessary resources needed help to contain the virus. And even months later, we can still only seem to talk about ourselves. While hospitals need to take precautions, yes, and have better training in infectious diseases, yes. There is a very, very real concern about the people in West Africa. The US and other countries will continue to have false alarms, occasional outbreaks, etc. until the virus is under control at the source. Basically, if youre scared of Ebola, demand help for the people in West Africa.
