So here It is now, over a week since I (and many others) sent in emails regarding Mr. Matlock and the usage of CEC equipment on his personal property. I sent the email off to every board member and several managers and directors...I did not get a single response from a single CEC board member, director, manager. Nor did anybody else that I know of that sent in emails. Not only is that beyond NOT being professional on their part, it is just childish and down right rude. It is almost like we are doing business with the Mafia. Hey you got your electric service, now sit down and shut up. For the past year, many people have repeatedly asked CEC to be forthcoming and present the accounting numbers that prove/show why they charge what they charge. They refuse to do this. For the past year, people have asked CEC to show an actual district map (board members and district) so the members could more readily understand where those districts fall. They refuse to do this. For the past year, people have asked the simple question of. How many employees does CEC have? It would nice to know how many office workers they have, line men they have, etc. It would be nice to know what we are paying for. They refuse to do this. If you take a moment and read the directives of the Co-Op bylaws...you discover that CEC is being managed and operated in clear violations of many of those bylaws. They dont care. I believe it is time that the customers of CEC (that are concerned with these and other issues)...it is time that legal action begin moving forward against CEC in order to get the company BACK into the hands and control of the co-operative membership! You have a legal right to know what and why you are being charged for... You have a legal right to know how people in your co-op company are being employed and why. You have a legal right to easy access when it comes to knowing where and why districts are/exist. You have a legal right to participate in budget development of your Co-Operative. You have a legal right to say what can and can not be done with co-op equipment. You have a legal right to participate in every meeting held by the board....since the board is legally controlled by the co-op membership. Take back your rights! Speak up...let your voice be heard!!!
