So here are my thoughts on the whole Reema Carmona midriff thing and yes I know you didnt ask for it but I home with nothing to do. Before this whole furore I used to hear a lot of people complementing the first lady on her sense of style on how good she looks, now I am seeing people saying she has shamed the nation(really??) because she made one mistake in fashion choice in your subjective eyes. So lets really analyse the event that she went to. I had to use my ninja Google powers to find this slideshow and as you can see yes many of the first ladies are dressed conservatively, some of the designers not so much. zimbio/pictures/-K41fJ4QIfw/Fashion+4+Development+Luncheon/V1uRkTScJe_ So lets move on to the event which is basically those filler activities that the first ladies go to because their husbands are busy doing real work over at the UN so we need to keep them occupied. Now I will agree that some of these causes they visit are important but at the end of the day you know that is why they organise these events when the spouses are there. With all that said I dont think Ms Carmonas fashion choice is going to affect future funding, I dont think anyone will remember what she wore and if this is basically her first major fashion mistake, I think we will bounce back and we should get off her back.
